Here are their last few quarters worth of revenues:

Also, their CEO and at least one other top executive resigned (or otherwise) in the last couple of months. Their revenues have been shrinking, I think they would say, in large part because of the low cost PC gaining a lot of market share. Put very basically, SCSI > IDE in terms of cost, so the higher priced I/O controller, SCSI, doesn't fit with the low cost PC.

The rumors still fly about Adaptec being bought out, although their president did say the Intel rumor was wrong, and they had a solid plan for survival on their own.
