WSJ headline: Gameboy Reveals Massive Oil Glut Hoax
By STANLEY CUP
Staff Reporter of THE WALL STREET JOURNAL

The Storage Tanks are Full of Water!!!

A top oil industry analyst operating under the code name "Gameboy" today revealed startling evidence that the so-called oil glut is a massive hoax designed to keep oil prices low. Based on an exhaustive six-week investigation, he alledged that a full ten percent of the nation's crude storage tanks, amounting to 30 million barrels, actually contain water instead of crude oil.

The hoax is said to be a "vast left wing conspiracy" masterminded by U.S. Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin, to suppress inflation and hoodwink Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan into keeping interest rates low. Apparently, the ultimate objective is to foster strong public approval for President Clinton's economic policies in the face of the ongoing Monica Lewinsky scandal.

September crude oil futures jumped more than $4.00 after the news was released. In Washington, the White House had no comment.

Not!
