Dear Gregor, what I have done 4 times, maybe more, is when something is just about as much as I can take I write or call that person. You can always find them usually. These experiences have proven that I wasn't the one getting the idea myself. If you are particularly concerned about the children only then trust our Lord that all things work for good, even such a thing. I do and and have found incredible peace with such faith that there is not a thing that God cannot turn for good.

But if you have a really compelling concern for the adults left, they may be just barely hanging on right now, and that will get worse, not better, so perhaps you should call them. You can always find them, either by information where the city is, or by sending a letter inside an envelope and addressed to the postmaster of the city. Tell him to please put the letter where it should go as you read about this in the paper and don't know how to reach them. I've had cops forward my letters. Most of the time that person has a listed phone, though.

I NEVER assume that there is someone else doing it so I don't have to. A church, a friend, a group. Sometimes everyone is mutually paralyzed.

Dear S.O.S. I trust our Lord to answer your prayers.
