"Not because I'm concerned about Compaq, but because I think it calls Goldman's reputation into question."

I read earlier that a few of Compaq's management sold their shares in late July, now I heard Bill Gates was selling millions of his shares of Microsoft...Does it mean these companies are going bust? No..it means they want some cash NOW!

LoD, you seem pretty determined in pointing out all the so called bad things about CPQ. Are you some kind of guardian angel looking out for our financial well being or something? Something tells me that's not the case. Having gotten that out of the way, what other purpose are you trying to serve by digging up every little bad news you can, and bringing it to the attention of this board. If you feel so negative about the stock, don't buy it. Nobody is forcing it down your throat. You can even choose to short it. I'm not saying that CPQ will go up (although I have reasons to believe that it will). Just that your determination is truly amazing. I just got done reading a few of the messages on the DELL thread and it seems a similar thing is going on there. What's the big deal. Why do you people need to constantly try to drive the point home that CPQ sucks. Leave it alone. Granted this is a free speech board, and you are entitled to your opinion, but why all the effort? Never mind. I don't care.
