It works the same way as virtual, as I said. you are restricted to 255 because Equis won't share their 2000 dir format. Even if they did you could only read one dir at a time except for exploration where you can choose all. Nothing is broke, that is the way it is. You have lived with direct read from tc2000 in WOW, But I can't remember last time, I saw it work in WOW on +10,000 sstocks. If you used TC2000 with MSWIN, you would use nearly triple disk space and take over triple time to get 255 size Dir.

As I have said before if you do a scan in QP at 5 times speed of meatstock, you would only send the ones that met your criteria. This might mean only a couple dir at most. You could then set up a list manually just typing symbol for say 255 more that you want to look at.
QP will always have everything for you. Then you would have 3 dir to look at.

I thought you had it. MSWIN and WOW read the virtual or metastock formats.
Richard,
It seems that they will "kind of" read the data. When I set up the directory that contained every stock symbol, it had something like 43 or more sub-directories. GET reads everything under the main directory while MSWIN and WOW will only read the one directory that you select. I have not tried it with the "real" metastock data since I removed it when GET read the virtual so well.

Thats how WOW and MS work regardless of whether your using Real or Vritual MS Data....
