I believe that the KKK peaked in 1925.

They had a resurgence during the Great depression, but there numbers were never as high as they were in the mid 20's. I saw a history channel special just last night on the KKK. I found it interesting that they were peeking around the same time that Nazi Germany was forming. Maybe there was something in the air back then.
