I have to agree with Miller, that there is more than enough room on this board for skepticism, worries, etc. These posts help to keep the irrational exuberance down to a more realistic level. At the same time, all we can ask of our devil's-advocates is that when negative information is posted, it is either backed up with a source or made clear that the post merely reflects an opinion. Facts attributed to unnamed "insiders" are worthless whether the news is good or bad. By the same token (see the gambling reference), cryptic statements such as "you won't be able to log onto Winr's site most of the time for reasons you should think about" are not only worthless but also cowardly. It implies that you know something, but are unwilling to put it on the record in case you are wrong. I personally can think of several reasons why I can't log into the winr.net site, some good some bad. I tend to believe that the site is down in order to make it operational, BUT THAT IS JUST MY OWN EDUCATED GUESS.
If you have real information, please pass it on...and give your source. That is why we are here in the SI community. If you have an hypothesis, let's have it (but let us know you are guessing). Then someone else can post their best guess, or set the record straight with real information.
Anyhoo, Mr. Wu, welcome to the WINR thread. You seem like a bright guy, and we can use a couple skeptics to keep us in line. Of course, we could REALLY benefit from skeptics that name their sources.

I just talked to Kevin Holmes at Columbia Financial Group (888 301 6271). There is no delay. The reason the beta version of WINR'S web site is down sometimes is because of "all the new stuff they are adding". Dr. woo's statement that the main programming guy left due to a medical reason is untrue. Kevin told me the programmers name is Chuck and that he just spoke with him yesterday in Europe - he is fine and working hard. Kevin also said he spoke with Skinner on Friday and that WINR is on target for end of this month - if not a little sooner. Apparently September 1 is a big deal for WINR because it is the first day of the professional football season. Football will be WINR'S biggest betting sport and they have no intention of missing the Sept 1 deadline for that reason. As for yesterday's volume - Kevin said that the short position on WINR is probably around 500,000(average for any bb stock) and that yesterdays volume was probably due to short covering. Now if the MM's are covering - that is very good news from where I sit. Dr. woo - maybe the people you work for should cover also - "are you with me Dr.?"(Steely Dan) all above imho. Gorcon
