>> No meaning extrinsic to me <<

Tried that but it is inconsistent with everything I see. My very being has little meaning outside of relationship with others. These relationships, to be meaningful must be accompanied by FAITH. That is, to have relationships which are meaningful you must trust beyond what you see in order to have a relationship that is satisfying.

Love, directed outward gives meaning. This is the starting place to see and seek God.

Jesus said if one would do His teachings He would know whether Jesus was "making it up" or whether the teaching was from God.

Think about the first part. Who said it, "no man is an island?" It's true. Why are you here and why do you even care what others think about this issue, anyway?

X, why is it that everytime someone starts a thread like this, people assume its about religion. That means that quite a few people in the world live useless, meaningless lives, because not everyone has heard of God, or believe there is any such entity.

Religion is the poor man's opium, a wise man once said..
