In any case, the so-called Pentium Pro Overdrive is really just a disguised Klamath core. Personally, I find the name "Pentium Pro Overdrive" a bit deceptive, don't you? After all, it sure ain't a PPro.

I don't agree, but apparently Intel does, since they named it the Pentium II Overdrive. <shrug>

Kudos to Intel for making good on their upgrade promises.

It's a Deschutes which was based on the Klamath which was based on the Pentium Pro.

Why is that deceptive?

It will be form fit and function compatible (with some accessories) and will provide a perfromance boost.
