I'm sorry bird, but you don't have a point...and i will not respond to you unless, you can come up with a more intelligent and meaningful angle because If you read my last post you would also see that ASIA is still actively Building out it's IP network and Broadband access as we speak... Governments will still spend to keep pace with developing technology despite what economic factors temporarily stifle their growth, for fear of being left behind on the techno curve so they in essence will maintain and continue to upgrade systems...It would be really smart if you read a bit more before you opened your beek again..

<<My point is that many Asian telephony companies
will not be able to upgrade/invest in the new
hardware needed for an IP system; let alone
the increased cost entailed by the devalued yen, peg etc.>>

The new IP hardware is PC-based. Cheap as compared with PSTN systems. Furthermore, their investment needs are almost nil, since the multinationals will gladly install the equipment in return for minutes.

<<This Asian crisis pertains to all companies with exposure
to Asia, not just DGIV. For instance, A stock that I follow with only minor exposure to that area of the world AEHR has suffered
tremendously.>>

AEHR sells boxes (test equipment for memory devices). Bad.
DGIV does not sell boxes, but services. Good.

<<AEHR supplied SOME chip test equipment to Asian firms that
probably would have been used to produce hardware for
IP systems that will now be delayed to fruition.>>

Probably not, since AEHR's test equiment are mainly for burn-in tests, not for pre-tested equipment such as the NMSS cards. These will be burned-in in Massachusets, not Asia. But this is indeed another reason to be cautious of AEHR's prospects.

<<Regards,>>

Regards back, Bird. BTW, you were much better when you talked about our little boiler room cabal than when you try to talk technology.

Wow Bird an intelligent post. So I will respond in kind. The reason DGIV will succeed is because of it's business plan of partnering. We are able to set up IP networks in these countries at little or no initial cost to the country aside from revenue sharing. We also expand existing networks in those countries updating their technology with our own. But the biggest thing that you fail to understand is that the Asian crises will end DGIV will be there to capitalize on the tremendous growth as these economies rebound. We are not day trading DGIV we are investing in their future. We will be a world wide network and as such our success will not be linked to any one region of the world. And no matter how bad an economy gets people will always communicate. Mark C.
