The world is different now. New internet and e-commerce companies will are springing up all the time. Technology is changing rapidly. GE and Microsoft (two of the largest companies in the world) are growing. The US has a monopoly on a number of high-tech industries and as the world continues to advance -- the US will continue to lead in technology. The technology segment of the US will not enter a long term bear market -- unless a global meltdown occurs.
