CALGARY, Aug. 12 /CNW/ - Leader Mining International Inc's systematic
well organized exploration of the Knife Lake camp is yielding highly
encouraging results. A gold - in - soil geochem anomaly has been discovered
at the Company's Knife Lake Project Area, northeastern Saskatchewan, Canada.
Gold values of up to 4.3 g/t Au have been discovered in soil samples.

This strong gold anomaly has the following characteristics:

Anomaly Size: 800 meters x 200 meters - Open along strike and
to depth

Geochem results from 65 soil samples are as follows:

4 Samples yielding greater than 1000 ppb (up to 4,300 ppb Au or
4.3 g/t Au)
16 Samples yielding greater than 100 ppb
45 Samples yielding greater than 10 ppb (Background is 5 ppb Au)

(x) All samples assayed by TSL Laboratories of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan,
Canada.

The gold anomaly is located along a 1.5 km long NW - SE trending fault,
sub-parallel to the silver bearing fault, located 300 m to the northeast. The
previously announced silver mineralization ( 1998 - Drill Hole No.308
intersected 71 m at 49.07 g/t Ag including 3 m at 320 g/t Ag) has been
discovered along a 5 km long fault. Native silver as wires is noted in a
petrographic study.
To follow-up these gold and silver discoveries an IP Survey over
approximately 25 sq. km is planned to outline drill targets.
The Knife Lake Project is located approximately 60 km northeast of the
currently producing Seabee Gold Mine.
