RE: "According to some friends at UTEK, they are going to lay-off about 50% of their workforce especially in manufacturing area, simply because they do not have any orders. A couple of their customers canceled orders."

Which division do your "friends" work in?

Re: "The flag ship product e-beam has not been even facilitized."

What does "facilitized" mean?

Thanks,

The e-beam system at PLAB was facilitized according to my sources. they do have some bad news coming down the pike but they have been very good about keeping their balance sheet healthy. They will hurt more severely as this downturn drags on and I would not be surprised to see it fall to the mid to low teens over the course of the next few months. however, I would not count them out and they could recover nicely down the road. I have dramatically reduced my position in UTEK and have been aggressively trading it in the 19.50 - 22.00 range picking off close to $1 eah time.

Your observations are valid but you never know what Art has up his sleeve. Doesn't it seem silly, in retrosepct, that they bought ISI, given the market conditions???

I am trying to keep a close eye on what is going on here on almost a daily basis.
