i'm not selling Yale. I'm just making the point that derosa is far from "uninformed".

i've seen alot of hacks at the university, esp in the economics dept (why do all these guys who know so much about money, dress like flood victims??) so I don't automatically fall for the commentary of those with the academic credentials.

Mike, Fisher's experience is not unique. One of the very best portfolio manager's I know called a "classic bottom" in the market just days before the 1987 crunch. I think the smart guys just say "yup" and "nope" like Gary Cooper. <G>
