Carl, I have no idea if they contemplate such a union. Hence the ? after it. I speculate that the cash needs will exceed what AMD cn raise (for.18) and thus they will either crash and burn or get bought by some deeper pocket group. A large OEM like CPQ might do that? to get a captive source of silicon. But they might not leave their area of expertise and let a semi group buy AMD? Of course if AMD make good products and leave Intel in the dust then this will not happen as AMD will go per ardua ad astra. Bill
