Carl, I have no idea if they contemplate such a union. Hence the ? after it. I speculate that the cash needs will exceed what AMD cn raise (for.18) and thus they will either crash and burn or get bought by some deeper pocket group. A large OEM like CPQ might do that? to get a captive source of silicon. But they might not leave their area of expertise and let a semi group buy AMD?
Of course if AMD make good products and leave Intel in the dust then this will not happen as AMD will go per ardua ad astra.
