JDA Software's ODBMS Achieves One Hundred Percent Performance Improvement on IBM's Upgraded RS/6000 Model S70
Benchmark Results Support Requirements of Tier One Retailers

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 11, 1998-- JDA(R) Software Group Inc. (NASDAQ:JDAS - news), an international provider of enterprise retail solutions, announced that its Open DataBase Merchandising System(TM) (ODBMS(R)) software achieved one hundred percent performance improvement on IBM's RS/6000 262 MHz Enterprise Server model S70.

This significant increase is in comparison to benchmark tests performed on IBM's RS/6000 125 MHz Enterprise Server model S70 announced in October 1997.

''JDA was one of the first companies to conduct these tests on the 262 MHz model S70 and the results have proven conclusively that ODBMS can handle the requirements of all retailers regardless of size,'' stated Ken Desmarchais, JDA's senior vice president of research and development. ''IBM's upgraded S70 is keeping pace with the market's increased demand for peak server performance. We can now quantify its exceptional delivery of processing massive amounts of transactions.''

According to Desmarchais, the benchmark results are particularly timely as the company is currently in discussions with one of the largest mass merchandise retailers in the world for ODBMS.

I hope this pushes the stock up tomorrow.

Sorry for the delay in replying. Been out shearing sheep.
Ring the company and ask them. Mind you they might be preparing their next press release: "CEO eats tuna sandwich for lunch."
