alien...I think your reading the tea leaves wrong..... If they did a private placement they would not put these shares in a margin acct available for more shorts...they would be for the long haul ...a large pharm like JNJ or Astra...paying cash to feed vivus to keep them alive. They would be buying the shares for something greater than the market share of $5 and change... Wait for clarification or news event to clear the air...
