Paul, SInce the discovery of a scam to make all celerons run at 100 Mhz has been found do you think Intel stalled the whole thing to remake the slot 1 to defeat this procedure? tomshardware.com

shows how this can be done. This would allow Celerons to parasitize P-II at a far lower price. This would also mean they would need to change to module for P-II.

The other choice is to feel that Intel is positioning stocks at distys for 24 Aug shipments, and making huge volumes of Celer/Mendos thus starving the P-II shipments?
