KG4, welcome to SI. The reason I mentioned that my sister is vacationing on Crete (a Greek island), is that Noble House is a Greek company, and she could visit them if I knew how to contact her. Short notice visits can tell you a lot about a company, especially when it is oversees and doesn't expect one so soon. So, in my mind, my comment was not completely off topic. ER

Dear KG4: I concur with you on the desirability of business only on this MIDL thread. However during a time when there was no real company news, we became more of a family including fights, vulgarities, disparagement's.. I cannot understand the need to post such out of place language. Would the same have been said face to face? On the positive side, differences of opinion have given food for thought against which our own opinions could be weighed and perhaps modified. Such sharing and just plain visiting have drawn us even closer as a family during a time of financial reality which left most of us with little choice but to stick it out these 90 or so downside days, and pray often if so connected. So, you can indeed expect visiting as well as strictly business on this thread, even the announcement of a baby's birth and a commemorative poem. On the whole, Midland Investors offer strong loyalty and hope for the immediate future of the Company. NOW I SAY NONE OF THIS TO REGULATE "FREE SPEECH", SET MORALITY OR JUDGE BUT RATHER AS A SPRING BOARD FROM WHICH TO SHARE A FEW THOUGHTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL 1, Can we honestly say that quality attracts quality, refinement attracts refinement. Is it possible that a greater show of these attributes on this thread would more truthfully present the character of we, the investors, rather than our reactionary frustrations, often bred by disagreements, which do not control or enhance the financial outcome and satisfaction of investment desired by all? 2. I do not need to tell you that quality and refinement of character, manners, are basic in many relationships, including "high finance". I speak through personal experience in Down Town San Francisco Real Estate in 1968. I had left the farm to work in my old home town for 9 months but came back to die with my boots on.. Jeans are more comfortable for me than the "business uniform"...suit and tie. 3. Could it be that proper business attributes, including kind and considerate manners, would enhance the desirability of the Midland shell? At least such would enable us to be more relaxed and appreciative of each other and certainly present a better business face and attitude to thread visitors. A QUESTION FOR EACH TO PONDER, TO SLEEP ON FOR THE BENEFIT OF OUR FINANCIAL FUTURE. Not good with words but I try my best, Love and appreciation to all, Marshall W.
