Mike, the markets are the ultimate judge, and they are acting like they believe the IEA report about poor OPEC compliance. -Greg

Mike,

I think June was a bad month to focus on OPEC compliance. It seems many countries put off their original cuts until later (August or later) for a multitude of legitimate reasons (contracts, difficulty switching momentum, etc.) The report is old news and perhaps the volatility today is the tug of war between those looking backward and those looking forward. The market often discounts such negative news if it appears to be dated. It looks like a volatile day and maybe week we're in for.

There must be uncertainty with my PTEN stock: the spread is .25 on a 6 dollar stock. I haven't seen it that wide in a looong time.

It's interesting how someone just the other day mentioned that we're in for massive consolidation the oil sector, and today we are knee deep in it. You think they knew/know something we don't?

Richard
