I think this has already been happening. Look at some of the BB favorites mentioned on this board several months ago. Including FAMH others such as DGIV, HNLY, ETPI, GLOW, AGTI are also much lower than they were back then. I am sure there are many more examples too.

LE, That is not what M Murphey meant, as you are well aware.

He is merely stating that BB stocks can have a very low or negative beta(correlation) to stock indices.

The raw beta for FiraMada is -.63 and the adjusted is -.09 This is compared to that of the S&P500. [This using a daily periodicity and using the range of 1/1/98 to today.]

I think you need to brush up on your interpretive logic.

Regards,

LE,
IMHO, these bad market days with -150 drops do not seem to affect the BB market that much. If I didn't look at the overall indicators I would not even know it was happening. Today if you had your money in GCTY or RMBS you would be happy, granted they are not BB stocks. For a BB stock look at WINR over the last couple days.

In no way do I mean that BB stocks are a safe haven.
Thanks,
MM

Well, one thing for sure is that all stocks you have been hyping have been going down like a rock!

Don't know why and just curious!

There is no correlation between BB stocks and big board stocks. However, it is plausible that some people who get frustrated with one type move to the other. So, in that sense, it is possible on a bad Dow day that people could move to the BB.

The bb is basically a paper trading arena. What could that possibly have to do with real world and the national/global economy?
