a recent trend for tech stocks, however, is for the sellers to come out as earnings are released, regardless of the results.

Maco, This trend may only be valid in the cases were there are profits to take or loses to fear. Given this Gung Ho Market and Docs recent trading, it seems that the "profit-taking/fear-mongering" sellers may have already flown the coup.
