alien,

Take a look at a long term chart of your gem CEPH and compare it to Vivus. Hopefully, Vivus is now where CEPH was in the beginning of last week.

I think these 2 companies have a lot in common:

1)Both NASDAQ biotech stocks.
2)Both have about 30 million shares outstanding.
3)Both are companies with a limited line of products.
4)Vivus experienced an all time low today--CEPH did last week
5)Both have very similar book values.

Now for the differences:

1)Ceph has never turned a profit. 1998 FYE of -$1.70 and 1999 FYE of -.99
2)CEPH is currently trading in the $7.00-8.00 range but was under $5.00 last week.

I am sure glad that the CEPH believers did not sell out when they hit an all time low last week and also broke the psycological $5.00/share barrier. In fact the stock's price fired north with a vengance shortly afterwards.

In terms of value there is no comparisson. If Ceph is worth $7.00+ currently then Vivus is in no way worth under $7.00/share. Just one vivus long's opinion.
