I think we'll see a pretty good dead cat bounce (a good short term trading window), but I don't think that will be the last of the down move. UNLESS, it is the classic. blowoff on huge volume.

IMHO individual investors are just realizing how much they are hurting. We have got to have pain before we can gain.

Keep your eye out for some bargains...K...is getting interesting.

Best,

Wonder when we will stop the slide? When will the neophyte "put it into the market-- the experts say it is a new world" investors who put all cash into market will freak and sell?

I hope for a 2-3 week continuing correction or...

An outright CRASH to a deflationary cycle where cash in the hand is king and GOLD will skyrocket and I will be holding the Golds after they crash too and then sell and retire.

Pretty simple really...

Tim:

I've been following the thread from the first post.
The concept is good, and will help a number of folks, including me.

For many years, I was a long time buyandhold man ...... worked fine and I have no regrets.
Last year, due to SI and some superior lessons from some excellent threads, I started to devote my energies to day moves on the indexes.
About 3 months ago, I started some short term position strategies, such as your thread is doing.

I know several of the posters, even though I don't know you.
There will be no flames from me for any reason, and the only reason I've posted this is because you've evidenced that it's ok for shorters to post ......

I'm a trader ....... short , long, straddle, spread, etc....... makes no difference to me , just as long as I'm on the right side ...... gggg

No suggestions right now, but I'll be reading and will return ....
btw --- I live mostly on the Tech Stock Option, the Idea , and the Z threads ........
and I'm an old man, so you youngsters must take it easy on me ..... ggg

I did make a few trades on the OEX today, based on my figures from the SPX ....... you , or any others , who trade the indexes are welcome over on the TSO ...... it's fairly lively and has some of the best folks on SI ........ and we do a creditable job of posting the close to real time trades ...... mine average less than a minute late because I'm on the phone and can type in it at the same time......
check us out .....

Regards ---- Nemer

Tim,
Following you over from the ASND thread. COMS does look to have a solid base, though some resistance at $30. If it breaks $30, a good buy signal.
Tom

Tim, do you think that the down is going to go under 8000?
