gaap recognizes historical costs

for the valuation of assets at the time they are acquired. hence the journal entry 50mm restricted x's whatever the price of the stock at that time equals the value of the asset at that time, for accounting purposes. this in no way tries to accurately define the actual value of the asset in question, this is what dunn is for. adjustments for the actual value of the asset will be made appropriately as events dictate, good or bad. i am wondering why they put that 'balance sheet' statement in there, could the problem with the sec be that they did not like the discrepancy between the booked asset on the balance sheet and the actual stated asset in the pr? maybe wishful thinking but i hope so, all we need is dunn, no pun intended, in that scenerio. poet.

I did call the company to find out if trading will resume tomorrow. Unfortunately, Vivian is out ill today. Jack was tied up on a conference call. The secretary said she would give him my message and ask him to call me when his call is over. If I get a call, I will post the response to the thread.
