Trying to keep this brief and I don't want to carry this to NOVL board...

<<I think one could say that NW 5.0 is Novell's G3 upgrade cycle and all the hot new products like NDS for NT, BorderManager, etc. are the iMac-type sauce.>>

But Apple did not develop the definite anger and scorn from Systems Admins that Novell has.

A Mac goes down and it costs a few hours. A Netware server goes down and not only do you have the wrath of the clients, but you also risk losing their data.

Of course I've always heard that Netware has a greater user base than NT by far, but I have not looked at the latest stats.

The MSFT Hydra is pumping a lot of cash into the NT head. You think their picking on Apple? They're looking to rip Novell apart!!!!!!

However, that was a nice tip. I'll look into it.

Is it possible that the Wintel camp is spreading misinformation to counter Apple's day in the sun? If Apple gets popular, it will hurt Microsoft. I may be way off but I do entertain the possibility that Windows' days may be numbered. I never was impressed with Jobs but he has done a tremendous job and he deserves the credit without any reservation. But right now, I am thinking of what comes after Jobs. He will be a very tough act to follow. I think it will be very difficult to find someone with the same "love" for the company to succeed him. I don't trade, as I mentioned a long time ago, and I'm holding for Apple to be near historical highs next year.
