T.S.

Interesting post. Would you say that the source of that essence is unconditional love, or something else?

Interesting use of the word Right, the Street. Everyone does exercise free will, I think. In that vein the Right that you speak of is not granted by men, one to another, but is inherent in our existence. I can act out of my own rational processes -- it matters not what others do about it or to me, they cannot prevent my free will.

Often, though, people speak loosely of a right as a right to do something without consequence or with tacit agreement of others. Choices that we make do make us who we are, but perhaps there is more??

Many aspects of my existence I did not choose. Some I have chosen. You have many choices that I do not and vice versa. Also we make our choices in the context of the choices that others make.

saying free will is the meaning of life is sort of like saying consciousness is the meaning of life, isn't it? If we are conscious we will make choices and we do make them individually, though we are with others?
