Let me know if you have any success, I have the same problem. I even tried
the card MPEG Decoder manufacturer (MPACT!), and they said to see Gateway
in the US. Fat lot of good that does.

Hello i had the same problem with the Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-C2002 Drive and
the C-cubev 1,011g.
I changed the Regionkode heres is how i did.
I took apart the coputer an took out the C-cube mpeg-card ho is lokated on
the left side.
You haf to take some screws away , if you cant do it right you might
destroy your comuter so be carefull.
But it workt fine for me.
Yes one more thingwhen you have done this you must play a DVD in that
region you want to have in the future, the first dvd you play is the region
you will havein the future.
Gateway nows how you can get a code free player (with some programme or
something) but they wont tell me but they say it exsist but ihavent found
it yet.
