I get my daytrade ideas from volume and number of trades leaders for the day. I also peruse the in-play list at briefing.com and also look at S.I. hot subjects for stocks that might be in play for the day. Then its onto chart work. I found this thread because you day traded NSCP today as did I.

thanx sandra, the bargins are yet to come. i see this lasting for a couple more weeks at least. internet stocks really holding ground, suprisingly. they are talking up GCTY on Bloomberg tonight. i think that GSCO really knew this had to be a hit. this IPO would set the pace for the rest of the IPO's this year. watching level II, i noticed that they really supported the price and kept it going when it slowed down. by highlighting them on my level II screen i am able to follow him around and work with him. daytraders are good for a stock, they keep it going, building momentum, raising the stock. daytraders keep the stock going by churning the spread over and over. i'll buy on the bid and sell to the next guy who raises that bid as a stock rises. or i can sell on an ECN at the ask to the public or other mm's.
