INDEX UPDATE
-------------------------------

On a purely technical/mathematical basis today produced a LOWER LOW. I realise many will argue that it has to be on a closing basis, well lets just say that per my system it counts.

Right now my short-term technicals are in the middle still and as I always say when its in the middle it is the most susceptible to news/fundamental changese. The bias is also to the downside. I realise that some may feel that the rebound off todays lows put a halt to the decline; however after checking the market internals todays late day rally was weak.

After the OCT crash many individuals were lining up to buy stocks at the brokerage houses, but now is not the same. Some are saying that the recent interim is really the result of institutional trading.

Originally I had indicated that we should start to rebound AUG 17-18 is the 8362 support held. It did not hold so the timing now has to be reassessed.

We could possibly see a retest of 8360 again within days.

Electric:

------>Explain a little more about your idea of cash driving the market,

I'll try .......
Don't try to make too much out of simple statements from simple minded folks ......... ggggggg

I simply meant that normally, I observe the futures moving in a direction and the cash following in under a minute that same direction ......
now, I'm seeing the cash moving in a direction and the futures following in a minute or two ........

I'm not one of the guys who believes the programs are being manipulated, either. I think that the market is rather efficient and it excells in moving money from weak hands to strong ones.
The programs are usually set with the most move on the indexes with the smallest amount of money expended on the individual equities.
As I recall, Pat's man Camp has a lot of days listed the targeted stocks for buy and sell programs and they differ from day to day.

And I stop short of agreement with the thought that we're (the small fry) are just observers and can't rise above being pawns. There is lots of info available that is so easy to come by now ....... I'm not very savvy about the market, even though I was brought up by one who was ----- my dad.
If he had the info that I have at my fingertips, wow ....... the world would be a rosy place and my whole family would have a lot of money to squander ....... ggggg

There is more to triggering the programs than just the prem though. Ask Scott ----- he's laboring hard to follow movement and even Pat has confessed to not being able to spot most programs until they're under way.
Heck, this is a tough way to serve the Lord, this market is ...... gggg
