Michael,
Believe me, AMD is not dragging their feet pumpng out chips.
Demand is simply, very good, and if it's helped by Intels shortages then so much the better.
You are correct. The K6-300 can easily be clocked to 350 and at times beyond. There is a reason for this but I can't get into it on this BB...but one might suggest that speed bin yields on classic K6s are excellent. IMHO, The classic K6-300 is the best deal out there on a CPU if you don't play Quake.
I'm sure the ASUS board will be good as is the FIC board with new CE chipset. The Soyo boards have a great reputation for stability. The DFI board got a great review from Tom.
I wasn't aware the SIS had a chipset that was capable of 100MHZ bus.
The SIS 5592 is not recognized as a super 7 chipset.
