This is what I expected too when I assembled my P233MMX/64MB/TX/6.4GB
UDMA33 system for the Mystique170-4MB+RR combination.

Unfortunately the RR it's good only at 352x288 and not with every
video-signals!. The MJPEG code drops a lot of frames, also the board
itself gets hot and this could be another cause for the dropped frames
issue (bad board design practically), then we have the fact that the
drivers have a lot of bugs. No one knows yet if the next upcoming RR
drivers' release will be able to solve the dropped-frames issue at
least in part or not, but what's for sure is the fact that Matrox is
going to drop the old Mystique/Millenium2 and RR lines. In fact these
products are even unavailable in shops and I doubt that they're
producing them anymore.

Well, I believe that my next capture card will probably be an
expensive Miro card... I am waiting for their announcements about new
MPEG2(C-Cube's)+MJPEG combined cards, just because that they will
release a new set of capture cards which combine both MJPEG and the
new C-Cube's DVx MPEG-2 SingleChip technology. It would be a top-notch
capture card, if they will be able to sell such a card at the same
price of the DC30 or even lower.

Obviously these are just my wishes, and I sincerely hope that
Miro/Pinnacle will follow them..
