colby...two forms of takeover...one just get controling interest 51%
the other 100% of all stock.

They would tender an offer to the stockholders with a price for their shares (lets say $12 as an example) if enough people/funds/instutitions cash in their shares at that price then they can force changes ...like change out management, board members, etc...

A friendly takeover is about the same with managements blessing...

Vivus and other companies have posion pill options to fend off hostile takeovers...

Now if you purchase price is $5-7 ...then $12 looks real nice ...if your cost is higher you may not be so inclined to sell your shares...

The takeover can be for cash as in this example or for XX number of the other companies stock..

Colby You are absolutely right that repeat patients show up on the new scripts repeatedly as well as the refills. DiaS point was that only repeat patients show up on the refill numbers. Taking the refills right before Viagra was introduced versus the average value today gives a 60% retention level for MUSE. This is a good and positive revelation.
