Paunch,

I just received the following E-mail that I find bothersome :

The permit for the mining operation at the Peoria 7 mine has not been picked up or paid for as yet..
The tab is $525...County is concerned and is going to approach MAXAM as to why they are not paying the bill..no permit is being issued unless payment is received.

The person at the office said they billed Maxam in MAY....the way the permit time frame worked was that it was going to be ok to mine as of July 10th or shortly thereafter....since Maxam has not responded, they will attached another $75.00 to the bill and if that doesn't work they will send out an investigator to see what the problem is on payment. Since the county has been processing the permit since march 3, 1998
