Scan disk isn't essentially different from Win 95.
Right click the disk in Explorer, click properties,
select tools, and you will find a scan disk.

Defrag takes 3rd party software. As far as I know
there's no "official" defrag for NT. It isn't supposed
to need it, which is baloney, but nothing comes with it
at least as of my versions. There are both freeware
and shareware defrags that I've read about, but I
have no experience with them and it's been awhile, so
I don't think it would be productive to try to comment.
Besides, I can't remember offhand <G>.
