Steve,

The rumor is that Compaq has invested, or will invest, in Conner's new start up disk drive company. Compaq was a major source of venture funding when Conner started Conner Peripherals several years ago.

best,
Stitch

<<Can you enlighten me.. what is the deal with Conner and CPQ?>>

I now have a reasonable source that Compaq's investment in Conner's new company amounts to a whopping $28 million. That is a pretty nice bankroll for seed money.

Best,
Stitch
