*OT*

On the disk drive discussion ... I've had the same problems with quantum ... 3 out of 3 drives failed with in two years ... 1 the day I got it and the others lasted about 1 maybe a touch more. I had a fourth but it vibrated so much I sent it back. I don't buy them anymore ... it's interesting that you have seen this kind of thing with wdc ... hmmm ... I wonder if this is common? My wdc and ibms seems to be doing fine ...

An now back to the streets ...

Katherine,

Having recently visited the Yahoo board concerning ASECO I was surprised to read a variety of rumors concerning the company (usually SI is a better source of information but there has been no specific information posted here):

* Layoffs of engineering talent
* Lack of success of their new machine vision handler.
* Mismanagement of WED leading to lawsuits and lack of orders there.
* Lack of competitiveness
* General mismanagement

Their current stock price would seem to reflect some of this beyond the slowdown in back-end equipment. Do you have an informed opinion that you would like to share on ASECO?

Thank you,

Dave Rosenthal
