Ivani, thanks for conference notes, I was supposed to go but just started a new project and was unable to attend. I concur with what you are saying, they are very far behind in embedded. There are a ton of orphan products out there, and at this point stacks of client inquiries piling up waiting for answers. I would bet in a significant number of companies on the embedded side, that the necessary infrastructure is just now getting into place for dealing with the embedded (who is going to ansewr client letters, what are the answers, do we have a database in the company tracking all our products, oops, we don't, are we going to build one now, etc, etc). This problem was not planned for internally within a company's systems and for larger companies, this is going to be a major headache in my opinion. BTW, TAVA is hosting a full day workshop this week at the conference on embedded, Ken Owens is leading it.
