Is there trouble in Island Paradise?!?! Swimming with the sharks!

The Independant story is a strange one indeed! This story seems like the Dominica Gov't is putting GaryB and Global Games in it's place! Read between the lines and remember that we are dealing with politicians here!!

Notice that the story makes a point of listing the IBC dates for both IGC and Island Sports and Casino ....

<<<<<"
Information obtained from the Dominica Registry indicate that Internet
Gaming Corporation was registered as an International Business Company
(IBC) on August 6, 1998. Island Sports and Casino Ltd. was registered as an IBC one week earlier, on 31st. July, 1998. Both IBC's state that their "registered agent is International Management and Trust Services Inc., 42 Kennedy Avenue, Roseau, Dominica." >>>>>

these dates are AFTER Gary Borglund's visit to the Dominica, implying that perhaps only AFTER meeting with the Minister were these registrations processed. In the next paragraph Minister Timothy fingers Mr. Borglund as the owner of these two companies...

<<<<<
According to Chief Executive Officer and President of Global Games
Corporation, Mr. Gary L. Borglund, United States citizens, whom he would not name, are investors in the two recently registered IBC's. But Minister Timothy told The Independent that Mr. Borglund owns the IBC's. >>>>>

WHAT A DISASTER FOR GARYB!!This is definitely a warning to Global Games that the Dominica Gov't will be calling the shots. For months now, GaryB has kept all info about IGC confidential ( due to the uncertain legality of internet gambling in the US), and now Minister Timothy puts GaryB on the spot! So much for Dominica's "confidentiality" policy. In the next sentence Mr. Timothy, with a sh*t eating grin, states...

<<<<<
When asked about the reasons behind Global Games offer of US$9 million, Mr. Timothy said "Government is allowed the normal 5% in licence fees but they have decided to be good corporate citizens and give 10% instead." >>>>

...ROTFPMP!! Sure, GaryB is such a nice guy that he would give an extra 5% to the Dominica Gov't out of the goodness of his heart. More likely than not, this is Minister T way of saying "if you want to play you gotta pay! capiche?"

Folks, this is what happens when you deal with these hick countries!
These politicians are sharks, and it seems that GaryB will be swimming in infested waters.

Peace

Riccardo
