larry, you made a great call on the puts. i also agreed that would have been a great time to buy puts. insook said to sell puts at that level. wish he did sell them to me then... ;-)

For what its worth here's the AICE DRAM commentary 8/11:
Tuesday August 11, 1998




The DRAM market continues to be the highlight as prices go higher
as manufacturer's price increases are finally taking hold. In the 64
MEG capacity, we are seeing price increases in SYNCH mode
product 4MX16, and 8MX8 configurations. As a result, we see
stronger prices in SYNCH module pricing. Supply of the Pentium II
266 and 300 continues to be tight.
