Micron seen improving

Despite a drop in its share price, analysts are optimisitc about Micron
Technologies (MU) future. PaineWebber reiterated its buy rating, and said
it forsees a 12-month target price of $40.00 a share. The firm cited
strong business conditions, improvements in DRAM unit demand, firmer
prices and the aquisition of Texas Instruments' (TXN) memory business
for its outlook. Separately, Soundview Investment started coverage of
Micron at a short-term "hold" and a long-term "buy." Shares closed
down 2 3/8 at 30 3/4.
