I found the Infoworld thread re: Netware5 vs NT5 interesting and I see that most of the seasoned network professionals share my belief that Netware5 is the robust, feature filled NOS of choice for organizations that rely on fault tolerant non stop networking.

I work in support of thousands of local terminals on a 85% Netware WAN that includes more than 750 Servers and 23,000 workstations. We use the Intranetware Client32 for Win95 at the desktop and a mix of 3.X and 4.11 Servers, soon to be all 4.11. We are testing Border Manager with good preliminary results and have testbeds of Netware5 going so that we can move forward faster with the migration then we did in the past; because there is good reason for us to go native IP and we are committed to NDS. Yes, we have a good number of UNIX boxes (SOLARIS) and some NT Servers that have been relegated to be either Oracle or Notes servers and haven't really had their pedal to the metal yet.

Long and suffering with NOVL these past 4-5 years I firmly believe that the appointment of Eric Schmidt is going to be the most significant financial event of my lifetime. I think this is now a bona-fide buying opportunity. I hope Joe Antol, is getting back in sometime around NOW!
