TA,

I often wondered about your "conspiracy theory" involving Vivus shorting. It seems to me like this can explain the unrelenting personal vendeta they seem to have against this company. It would also explain why so much money is tied into keeping Vivus' stock price depressed via shorting--it really is nothing compared to lost Viagra sales if it were pulled off the market. Certainly the destruction of this little company would allow Viagra/Pfizer supporters to argue that the safety issues are less important than at least having one non needle form of therapy available.

TA,

Two more points:

As I mentioned earlier, I was told by Vivus that a well respected German cardiologist is soon to present a paper demonstrating the serious cardiovascular side effect of PDE inhibitors on the cardiac patient. IMO, this presentation will be damning to Viagra.

Also, don't be surprised if Pfizer doesn't attempt a hostile take over of Vivus if this type of price action continues. With both Viagra and MUSE under their control, they would have a virtual monopoly on the ED market and their reps could demo both products in the same breath. Also. Pfizer would then have both J&J and Astra eating out of their hands to supply them with MUSE. Interesting possibility.

Well Tuna I dont thin kits quite that deep since I did see some funds selling out so its not the short intrest that dropped the price this much, Unless these same funds had planned it this way. And also most of these funds have stipulations against shorting. What we are dealling with here is a group of short sellers, These are parasites that target one company at a time and kill it, I think 5 will be a big resistance point for both long and short positions since the margin goes off for both. I think this is a last ditch effort to shake out as much holders as possible, I definetely think we will hit 4 1/2, maybe even 4 1/4 and depending on how strong the bottom is they will start covering or give up. With scripts recovering and viagra bad news mounting I dont think there is all that much time left in the game.
