i have a dual boot for Solaris and Win95 and the only drawback to solaris is that most plug ins for netscape arent available for Solaris Intel though they are for my Sun Sparcstation. Java based plug ins should solve that problem when there available. The only really useful application i would have missed was citibanks pc banking program which is for windows or the mac but its now available thru a browser.

overall its a draw - solaris intels color map isnt so pretty but i have never seen it crash and its a kick to realize that im using the same OS that runs on an E10000 supercomputer. Oh yeah it doesnt run games but a $200 nintendo 64 is a better platform for games (how about a duke nukem java applet?)

what the hell, im getting a new imac anyway - $1249 at the Cyberian outpost!
