I think it will be a very long and slow journey to < $1
Altair's float is around 12M shares. You will notice that the average daily volume is very low. I am assuming that a major part of the float is locked up in long term and possibly cash accounts. These shares will hit the market some day but it may take some time.

Also, the last time I checked, Altair had 7+M in cash. The convertible has a redemption clause if Altif goes below 6.5 - the debenture-holders may not risk a big assault on the stock price (at least for now).

I have negligible confidence in the effectiveness of the CJ and therefore I do not see any big upside to the stock price.
