Mr. Rob, exchange2000.com ------ "Seems the stories all play out the same, no matter which thread..."exchange2000.com ------ "I read that I am involved in shorting, extortion, lying, never owning GIFS shares, conspiracy,...and have been attacked from the get go. My question is why?" ------ On Dec. 16th & 19th of 1996, Mr. tonto made these claims;exchange2000.com To: Caroline (1162 ) From: tonto Monday, Dec 16 1996 5:29PM ET Reply # of 7745 20,000 shares were mine at $2.50exchange2000.com To: NORMAN DEMERS (1189 ) From: tonto Thursday, Dec 19 1996 1:23PM ET Reply # of 7745 I believe you are right. I have been buying this week, and may get more aggressive. I now have over 70,000 shares. Jeff Silverman's reaction to these claims is as follows;exchange2000.com To: tonto (3793 ) From: Jeff Silverman Saturday, Apr 12 1997 8:41PM ET Reply # of 7749 Tod, As we have had conversations on the phone in the past, I Knew from the beginning that your intents were to short the stock. I never said anything because of your hyping of the company, as it was a asset to my holdings.. The problem I had the whole time was that the buys you stated you were buying, never showed on the screens. A matter of fact; one day you stated to me that you bought 30,000 shares, and I ended up buying 47% of the volume that day which was 97000+ -. If you take 45,000 shares bought, and you take 45,000 shares sold, you have 90,000..As having live level two systems, I did not see any buys, or a total of buys, coming close to what you were stating. Maybe you might of thought you were buying Gifs, but in reality I did not see it." ----------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Before Mr. Gayle Essary's articles about Mr. tonto came out , refering to Mr. tonto as "shorty", Mr. tonto was also posting on the SOLV thread. SOLV was one of Mr. Asensio's shortsell/strong sell recommendations. Mr. tonto refers to Mr. Asensio on Wednesday, Mar 5 1997 ;exchange2000.com -------- "I winessed similiar attacks on Assensio during the DNA days. He was correct that time and helped some investors get out before the stock collapsed. He was accurate in his analysis then, and I wish I knew more about this particular company to decide whether or not he is accurate again." ----------- Shorting Mr. Asensio's recommendation is a perfectly valid position to have, yet around the very same time, Mr. tonto is claiming to be buying a healthy long position in GIFS. Mr. Silverman stated about Mr. tonto's claims; " The problem I had the whole time was that the buys you stated you were buying, never showed on the screens." & " I Knew from the beginning that your intents were to short the stock." Mr. Asensio posted on the Motley Fool Message Boards along with Mr. tonto as"Cruve66509" and "Sourj11349", his posts have since been deleted but are available in court documents. Note the 4/9 entry is 3 days before Mr. tonto addressed Mr. Essary's piece on him on the GIFS S.I. thread. 4/9/97boards.fool.com 6/12/97boards.fool.com ----- "I love my position in SOLV." --------- Mr. tonto's first post on the SOLV thread was 2/25/97.exchange2000.com I suggest the answer to Mr. tonto's question; ------ "I read that I am involved in shorting, extortion, lying, never owning GIFS shares, conspiracy,...and have been attacked from the get go. My question is why?" A: Because you are posting alongside, and in unison with, a notorious shortseller who himself has had problems in this area. Now those involved in RMIL can take it one step further. What about the presence of other individuals familiar in the RMIL legacy? What about the GIFS 144 shares of one Mr. S Bradley Martin? Were those shares to be used to cover a short? Was the Genesis before the reverse merger into GIFS targeted for a terminal short? It appears that OVIS pre-Gary Morgan was targeted as a terminal short and these very same individuals have been working earnestly to find the kind of villans they were lucky enough to expose at GIFS. To date....it "seems the stories all play out the same, no matter which thread...". Never before have I witnessed a more cohesive group of shareholders and I am proud to have been allowed to hold court in Mr. Riley G's absence. Upon his return I will go back to the role I am most comfortable with and assist all of you, from the sidelines, to the best of my abilities. Good evening RB
