Hello Tony,

I mentioned on this thread that my beliefs are based on the bible and on faith, the latter of which is difficult to accept by scientists. Faith is not tangible, you can see it in action but not the One in whom that faith is placed. But even in science there is much speculation and unproven theory.

With that thought in mind consider this. Something unique to Christianity
- you can find the graves of the founders of all other religions in the world while Christs' grave is empty because we serve a risen saviour.
- in other religions you have to seek some concept of God or enlightenment or work your way through a system and maybe you find salvation or become like a god. Not so in Christianity, God comes looking for you and offers salvation freely because the price has been paid by Jesus. The choice rests with the hearer. Do I believe the message or not. The bible teaches that knowledge of salvation is for here and now accepted by faith in the word of God.

With equal respect,
John

Hi Tony,

If I may add my 2 cents...please also consider that the God of the bible is the ONLY one who promised that he would send a saviour - Jesus Christ - and that He would be put to death (for our sins), and on the third day he would rise and live again! No other diety can proclaim that and not all religions believe or teach that.

If you believe that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ did happen then you must conclude that the word of God in the bible is truth and consider the other promises God has made for you.

So in your search for the truth - find out which "religion" can proclaim the statement above. Please remember though that "religion" and/or group will not save you from your sins but your "faith" in Jesus Christ as being God, who died for you on the cross and later resurrected after the third day - WILL!

God Bless and may you indeed find the truth and the "meaning of life".
