I guess the afterhours trading is an indicator of the reaction of many AMAT investors currently at 31 3/4. I still think this is a good long term hold (one year or more) because it's a solid company with much growth ahead, but the evil word "Asia" will keep a grip on many companies with a decent percentage of revenue there.
