Gary NG Re: "What is the 'fair' value ..."

Well, I think the value of AMD stock should be, looking at their sales and quality of their products, somewhere around $30-40...

Just ashame that they got their (recent) historical mistakes stamped into their nose now...(debts, delivery problems, JERRY;), etc)

I don't doubt AMD is going to be very profitable in the long run, I DO doubt if they can stretch their debt-holders long enough to get to that point....

Gary,

RE:In fact, anyone know if their K families ever made any money ?

The answer is yes but it has been a long time and it wasn't very much. To find a quarter were AMD made a profit with the K family of cpu's you have to reach back to Q2 1997. If memory serves me correctly AMD turned a 7 cents per share profit. They also turned a profit in Q1 that year I think it was 9 cents per share. In Q1 1997 it was mostly driven by the K5-166 firesale and in Q2 it was caused by the release of the K6.
