Dave:

I've been saying that money from large caps would rotate to the beaten-down biotech sector since Winter'97. The second- and third-tier investor has enjoyed aborted rallies, but the sector has, almost in general, been trounced over that 20 month period. Some day soon, I'm going to be correct (yeahrightsure..... I agree with you, and expect that sentiment for bio will remain restrained for a bit longer).

I've already apologized to Andy, Attack Poodle and Prophet.

:-)

I've switched to a "trendless" strategy, as you know..... buying low cap third-tier companies with leveraged business plans, selling at or near book/cash. M&A *has* to be in the works, and this will start to dictate decent price action, even in the face of modest demand. Absurd is absurd.
